Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our Details and Data Gathering team. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms, including television broadcasts, websites, and mobile apps

• Work with automated data feeds and manual data entry to guarantee the delivery of accurate, up-to-date, and insightful sports data
• Collaborate with the Details and Data Gathering team to identify and resolve data discrepancies and errors
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of our data systems and processes
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless data delivery and resolution of issues
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with current office policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)

• Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and rules
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* 1 year of experience in sports or data analysis, preferably in media

• Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and research purposes
• Working knowledge of ESPN products and creations
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Experience leading or training a team
• Ability to speak and write Spanish
• Experience using social media in a business or news context

* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in time-sensitive production environments

• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
