Adjunct Faculty In Health Services Administration, Online - Remote

Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline. Conducts office hours as assigned. Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for an online graduate level Health Services Administration class for the upcoming Winter quarter, starting January 5th. We believe in a strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
• Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
• Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
• Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
• Adhere to University policies and procedures.
• Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.

Job Skills:

• Effectively communicate with all levels of the University.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
• Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
• Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.

Work Experience:

• Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
• 2 years professional experience in an administrative/leadership/ management role in a healthcare delivery setting (acute care, ambulatory, public/community, or home health) required, 5 years preferred.
• Some experience marketing healthcare or other goods and/or services required.

Education:

• Doctorate Degree in Health Services Administration, Health Care Administration, Health Services Management, Health Science, Public Health or a related HSA discipline

OR

• Doctorate Degree in Business-related discipline w/ Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration or Public Health OR
• Doctorate Degree in Business-related discipline w/ ≥18 graduate semester credit hours in HSA

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

• Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).

• No travel.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. $2,300-$2,600 is the expected starting pay per online assignment for this position per quarter and $3,000 is the expected starting pay per on campus assignment for this position per quarter. If your location is near a campus, on campus teaching may be required. Current and future assignments are based on the additional factors outlined below.
