Job Summary

As an Information Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and building core features and components of card exchange systems on a distributed platform hosted in a hybrid cloud environment. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with skilled designers and engineers in a dynamic and result-oriented culture, where you can share your ideas, learn from others, and grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and build distributed data processing and analytics frameworks

• Develop high-level and detailed designs of subsystems/ features with a focus on performant code
• Collaborate with designers and engineers in daily activities, contributing to code and other SDLC tasks
• Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new ideas and emerging technologies
• Stay up-to-date with industry-leading and innovative technologies and solutions, and apply this knowledge to build low-latency distributed systems
• Lead a culture of experimentation and learning, participate in a results-driven culture, and be willing to take calculated risks and learn from failures
• Work closely with peer innovation and development teams across various departments

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of work experience in software development and deployment using Java or Scala

• Experience in data processing using Flash
• Knowledge of designing, implementing, and working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Elasticsearch
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in distributed data processing and analytics using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Flash

• Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka
• Experience in building Microservices and Service Mesh is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and DevOps frameworks
• Experience in architecting large-scale distributed data systems considering scalability, reliability, security, performance, and flexibility
• Clear understanding of different design patterns, threading, and memory models supported by the language/VM
• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior management
