Mental Health Therapist LCSW-C / LCPC (Remote) Maryland License

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health counseling and support to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, mainly adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality patient care through evidence-based practices and compassionate engagement. Duties

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
• Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical documentation and medical records maintenance.
• Provide case management services including patient care planning, treatment coordination, and follow-up to support ongoing recovery.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver therapy sessions remotely while maintaining engagement and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that address complex issues such as PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, or working with individuals with autism or disabilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist or equivalent in your state or region.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis management, behavior management, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
