Title: Account Director - Sports, Entertainment & Media [U.S. Region] Location: Remote - United States Job Description: This role has direct responsibility for delivering sales objectives and managing an assigned portfolio within the Sports, Entertainment & Media team across specified accounts and sub-segments, driving revenue and growth opportunities for IHG Hotels & Resorts. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, leverage data to inform strategy, and demonstrate a strong drive to win in a highly competitive market. Your day to day Strategic Planning: Assess accounts and their opportunities, building strategic account plans. Collaborate with global counterparts, agencies, hotels, and contacts to execute strategies and tactics that drive revenue and market share. Performance Analysis: Monitor account performance metrics and use data to identify trends and opportunities, utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine sales strategies Networking: Network within industry and accounts to identify key decision-makers and influencers, building relationships to fully penetrate account potential. Understanding Client Needs: Seek to understand the account's business and priorities, developing strategies that align with their objectives and maximizing opportunities. Collaboration with Hotels: Work closely with appropriate hotels to ensure clear communication of expectations and goals. Develop a network of support at key hotels, fostering close working relationships with hotel management and sales staff and find win/win solutions. What we need from you Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, Management, Business, Hospitality, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Experience: Demonstrated experience with a deep understanding of Sports, Entertainment & Media accounts. Working with global companies with multiple stakeholders, cultural teams and complex buying processes. Sales Management: Proven experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale sales segment plans from conception through implementation. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for providing information to clients, vendors, senior management, and staff. Ability to work effectively at the board level in client companies, with strong relationship management, negotiating, and persuading abilities. Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with a high-level understanding of operating in an owned, managed, and franchised environment. Experience with franchise organizations or ownership constituencies is preferable. Travel - 40-50% Location - Remote: Candidate must reside in the United States within one [1] hour proximity to a major US airport The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 to $115,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable).
