Job Summary

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling property and casualty insurance-related customer service and billing inquiries, providing expert guidance on policy coverage, quotes, and changes. You'll work closely with our policyholders to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and ensure seamless policy management. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention, you'll be an integral part of our team, driving business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle property and casualty insurance-related customer service and billing inquiries via telephone, email, and direct mail

  • Provide expert guidance on policy coverage, quotes, and changes, ensuring policyholders understand their options and make informed decisions
  • Review and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of policyholders
  • Counsel policyholders on appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by property and casualty insurance
  • Make recommendations and/or changes to policies, gaining policyholder acceptance to process changes
  • Receive and respond to calls and emails, documenting all activity in EPIC
  • Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service
  • Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms for insured, and act as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies
  • Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies, following up to ensure timely processing
  • Review policy information and references company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims
  • Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, following up to ensure timely return
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment

  • Property and Casualty insurance license required
  • Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

* Work from home with a flexible schedule (Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST with rotating Saturdays)
