Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Moderation

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Chat Moderator to join our remote team, working part-time hours to maintain a positive and engaging community experience.

Job Description:

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules
• Deleting messages that violate our community standards, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech and harassment + Spam and self-promotion + Inflammatory or divisive content

• Banning users who repeatedly violate our community rules, after thorough investigation and review
• Muting users who have violated our community rules, to prevent further disruption
• Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations, and taking necessary action to resolve the issue
• Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community guidelines and rules
• Providing excellent customer service and support to users, addressing their concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner
• Staying up-to-date with arenaflex's community policies and procedures, and adapting to changes as needed

Pay and Benefits:

* Hourly rate: $12.50

• Pay cycle: Weekly, starting from Monday and ending on Sunday
• Flexible remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools, or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately identify and address rule violations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience as a moderator or administrator on online communities, forums, or social media platforms

• Familiarity with arenaflex's community policies and procedures
• Strong knowledge of online safety and security best practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Experience with customer service or support roles, with a focus on resolving conflicts and addressing user concerns
