Why You'll Love This Role

As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union, you'll be responsible for handling various tasks related to payment processing, account management, and customer inquiries. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless transactions, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily tasks related to account processing, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers

  • Coordinate with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work on assigned member cases and tasks, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
  • Process mortgage bills, multi-account deposits, credit card bills, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicate with vendors to facilitate budget transfers
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
  • Deposit check returns, review member draft changes, process member exams, verify members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

What You'll Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications

• High school degree or GED

  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer/member service experience

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure conditions
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail

  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
