Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the success of our sales database. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry: Key, scan, and transcribe a high volume of data from various sources into our computer database with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Review and Cleaning: Review data being entered from source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, and investigate discrepancies to resolve problems.
  • Research and Analysis: Research, analyze, and sort information as needed to support the success of our sales database.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate discrepancies, fill gaps in incomplete records, and resolve other problems to ensure the integrity of our database.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent Typing Skills: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in typing, including a 10-key alphanumeric speed test.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness in your work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and knowledge in or ability to quickly learn other computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Office Equipment: Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and dictation machines.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and provide feedback to resolve problems.
  • Data Entry Experience: Previous experience in data entry, preferably in a sales or customer service environment.
