CPA - Senior Accountant / Auditor

CPA - Senior Accountant / Auditor Small / Medium Size Accounting Firm We are a robust privately held certified public accounting firm specializing in accounting, consulting, tax and audit services for small to mid-size businesses and high net worth individuals. Proactive vs. reactive is our way of doing things. We are seeking an energetic professional who is proactive and can multi-task. This person must be able to handle a wide range of accounting and tax clients and be able to work independently with the help and training from their senior managers.

Responsibilities

• Review and Preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, LLCs and partnerships
• Provide accounting advisory support to clients, including implementation and assistance with new accounting standards
• Manage and maintain accounting books and records for monthly, quarterly and annual clients
• Effective work paper preparation and review skills in compliance with firm standards and procedures for an attestation or non attest services
• Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks within the deadline
• Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way to clients
• Manage preparing and completing audits as an audit team member

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• Certified Public Accountant
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a staff accountant in a public accounting firm
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior accountant in a public accounting firm
• Knowledgeable in GAAP and GAAS and proficient in financial statement preparation

Required Skills:

• Microsoft Office including Excel/Word
• QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Checkpoint Tools and other audit software
• Tax software experience of more than 2 years

Schedule:

• Regular Season - Monday to Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00
• Tax season ( January to April ) - Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm or as required with some Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
