Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they receive the care and support they need. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, addressing their questions, concerns, and issues in a timely and compassionate manner

  • Coordinate and handle new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating patient information
  • Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
  • Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with complex issues or sales
  • Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure timely and accurate handling of specialty medications
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and email applications
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
