Podcast Co-Host for Weekly Faith & Theology Conversation — "Pass the Daily Bread"

Overview

I'm a theologian, author, and pastor launching a weekly podcast called Pass the Daily Bread — a conversational exploration of what it means to actually trust God. Not faith as a doctrine to be memorized, but faith as a posture to be lived. I'm looking for a co-host who can engage seriously with Scripture and theology, ask genuinely curious questions, and help create the kind of conversation that makes listeners lean in. This is not a production role. I need an intellectual and conversational partner. About the Show Pass the Daily Bread grows out of decades of ministry, scholarship, and writing. I hold a Doctor of Ministry from Duke University, founded Southern California Seminary, and have spent years studying the New Testament concept of pistis — the Greek word for faith — and what it actually means to enact trust in God daily. Each episode will take a passage of Scripture, a theological question, or a contemporary issue in the church and work through it in conversation. The tone is serious but accessible — think thoughtful pastoral dialogue, not academic lecture. The companion Substack newsletter launches this week with over 1,000 subscribers. What I'm Looking For Essential: •Solid theological background — seminary education strongly preferred

• Genuine curiosity about Scripture, faith, and the life of trust
• Natural, warm conversational presence on a microphone
• Ability to ask good questions and build on ideas without dominating
• Reliable and professional — this is a weekly commitment
• Good quality home recording setup (or willingness to acquire one)

Ideal but not required:

• Background in pastoral ministry
• Familiarity with New Testament Greek
• Experience with podcasting or audio content

What This Is Not This is not a role for a general content creator or marketing professional. I need someone who genuinely loves theology and can engage with it at depth. If you've never wrestled seriously with a passage of Scripture, this probably isn't the right fit. Logistics

• Format: Weekly recorded conversation, approximately 30–45 minutes
• Recording: Remote via a platform such as Riverside.fm or Zencastr
• Commitment: One episode per week, with brief prep beforehand
• Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and fit
