Business Test Analyst
Job Title: Business Analyst / QA Analyst (BA/QA) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6-12 month Contract Interview Process: 2 Rounds Interviews
Overview
Our client is seeking a strong Business Analyst / QA Analyst (BA/QA) to join their Implant IT team, a cross-functional group made up of Business Analysts, Developers, QA Analysts, and Product Owners. This team supports ongoing enhancements, production defect resolution, and a major modernization initiative focused on rebuilding a legacy application into a modern, cloud-native web application. This is a hybrid role requiring both business analysis and functional testing expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst with QA/testing responsibilities
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases
- Experience working in Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and databases (SQL)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with requirements traceability
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to test automation and regression suite development
- Experience working with cloud-native applications or modernization projects
- Familiarity with security tools such as Snyk or Veracode
- Industry experience in workers' compensation or healthcare
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and define business and functional requirements
- Write and manage user stories and backlog items in Azure DevOps
- Define and document acceptance criteria for features and enhancements
- Create and maintain detailed test cases aligned with requirements
- Execute manual testing and support regression testing efforts
- Assist in building and configuring automated test suites
- Perform UI, backend API, and SQL Server testing
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, test cases, and deliverables
- Validate that delivered functionality meets business needs and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA team members, and product owners in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Support production defect triage and resolution
