Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing enterprise in the e-commerce sector, is seeking a seasoned Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee their extensive operations based out of New York City, New York, US . This role operates on a hybrid model, combining essential in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to warehousing and final-mile delivery, ensuring maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. This is a strategic position requiring leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency gains, and service level improvements. Manage and optimize inventory levels across multiple distribution centers, utilizing advanced forecasting and planning techniques to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment, ensuring timely and accurate order processing. Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers to secure competitive rates and service levels. Implement and maintain robust supply chain performance metrics and KPIs, regularly reporting on key indicators to senior management. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions. Lead the adoption of supply chain technologies and systems, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), to enhance operational visibility and control. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function, fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Manage and mentor a team of supply chain and logistics professionals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, and operations, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry. Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains and achieving significant cost savings and efficiency improvements. Extensive experience with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems. Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and forecasting methodologies. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
