Develop and maintain robust and scalable systems to support Natera's bioinformatics operations. Lead and manage a team of site reliability engineers to ensure smooth functioning of bioinformatics systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for system improvements and enhancements. Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to address and prevent issues. Conduct regular system maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal functioning. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders. Stay updated on latest developments in bioinformatics and technology, and incorporate them into Natera's operations. Troubleshoot and resolve system failures and performance issues in a timely manner. Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes. Ensure compliance with industry and company standards for data security and privacy. Mentor and train junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Participate in on-call rotation to address critical system issues. Work closely with software engineering team to develop and test new bioinformatics tools and applications. Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project plans and timelines. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and reliability of bioinformatics systems.
