Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team in a 40-hour remote evening contract position. As a Health Insurance Billing Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), resolving patient medical billing inquiries, collecting payments, and assisting with patient inquiries regarding their medically billed charges. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Health Insurance Billing Resolution Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing EOBs to resolve patient medical billing inquiries
  • Collecting payments from patients and clients
  • Assisting patients with inquiries regarding their medically billed charges
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients
  • Working closely with clients and patients to resolve billing issues
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Meeting daily quality and productivity quotas
  • Participating in online team meetings and company Q&A forums
  • Maintaining a quiet and distraction-free remote working environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or medical billing role
  • Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is vital to being successful in this position
  • Communication skills: Excellent, professional verbal, written, and social communication skills are a must
  • Electronic medical system experience: Previous experience working with an electronic medical system is required
  • Computer skills: Excellent computer skills, including the ability to navigate multiple systems and software programs
  • Time management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet daily quality and productivity quotas
  • Availability: Must be available Monday through Friday during Hawaii Standard Time
  • Friendliness: Friendliness is a must in this role, as you will be interacting with patients and clients on a daily basis
  • Technical skills: Ability to navigate personal and remote desktop simultaneously
  • Internet speed: High-speed internet is required, and an internet speed check will be required after the initial interview

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience: Previous experience in a customer service or medical billing role, preferably in the healthcare industry

  • Certifications: Certifications in medical billing or customer service are a plus
  • Language skills: Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset
