Job Description: Hi! I’m working on a deeply personal memoir based on 14 years of journaling, and I’m applying to a competitive writing fellowship. I’m looking for a skilled writer/editor who can help me shape my ideas into a strong, clear, and compelling submission. This project is very meaningful to me—it’s a reflection on personal growth, identity, relationships, and transformation over time. I have extensive raw material (journal entries), but I need help organizing, refining, and presenting it in a way that feels cohesive and impactful. What I need help with: Writing/editing a 1-page proposal for a memoir-in-progress (including a strong synopsis) Crafting a Statement of Need (why this fellowship matters for me right now) Helping shape the overall narrative direction of my memoir Light editing/structuring guidance for my manuscript sample (50–70 pages) Ensuring everything aligns with fellowship submission guidelines Maintaining an authentic voice (very important) About the memoir: The book is based on my personal journals over the past 14 years.
