Consultants work across on-site, remote, and hybrid engagements, giving employees exposure to a broad range of technologies, clients, and industries throughout their careers. The customer is a global contract research organization (CRO) that provides clinical trial management and drug development services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. They handle the full spectrum of clinical research, from study design and patient recruitment to data management and regulatory submissions, helping companies bring new therapies to market faster and more efficiently. As a Senior Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee multiple product development scrum teams. Success in this role hinges on expert level knowledge of software development at scale. This includes proficiency in C#, .NET, Java, SQL, Snowflake, Git, Jira, React, Angular, JavaScript, RESTful Web Services, DevOps, and Azure. Collaboration and idea exchange are integral to project success in this environment. You will serve as a role model for motivating both yourself and the team, ensuring positive momentum and energy are consistently maintained. Summary of Responsibilities: - Lead and manage multiple product development Agile teams, including developers, technical leads, quality assurance professionals, and product partners. - Drive efficient execution of product development initiatives, with a strong focus on quality, security, and product resilience to meet organizational objectives. - Lead platform upgrades and migrations, application re architecture, and modernization efforts in alignment with industry best practices. - Foster seamless collaboration with Tier 3 and Tier 4 support teams, providing assistance with complex inquiries and ensuring smooth cross department communication. - Provide personnel leadership by cultivating team engagement, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting year end review processes. - Identify and mitigate risks related to product development and support functions through proactive planning and execution. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by encouraging experimentation, learning, and technical growth. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and delivery expectations. Qualifications (Minimum Required): - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - The organization may consider relevant and equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal educational requirements. Experience (Minimum Required): - Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering or a related discipline. - At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role managing software engineering teams. - Strong familiarity with AI driven development practices and MACH architecture. - Proven experience managing scrum teams and end to end product development. - Demonstrated ability to lead products from conception through delivery. - Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities (advanced/fluent English communication skills). - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced certifications in project management, cloud technologies, or related domains. - Experience leading diverse, cross functional teams in a global environment. - Experience within a CRO, healthcare, or regulated industry environment.
