Job Summary

As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, providing personalized support, and resolving complex issues with empathy and compassion. You'll work remotely from the comfort of your own home, using our state-of-the-art technology and tools to connect with customers and provide support.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide personalized support and guidance to customers, using our tools and resources to resolve complex issues
  • Utilize multiple databases and systems to research and resolve customer inquiries
  • Document customer responses and call outcomes in our systems
  • Participate in continuous learning and training sessions to develop new skills and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Meet or exceed performance targets centered around a positive customer experience

Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work our normal business hours, 10:30am - 7:00pm CST, Monday - Friday
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications

* Health care or insurance experience (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)

  • Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change experience (working with vulnerable populations)

Telecommuting Requirements

* Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate ($16.00 - $31.44 per hour)
