Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Software Development Team Lead to drive the roadmap for a subsystem of our core product. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for developing part of the roadmap yourself, while mentoring a small group of 3-4 engineers to achieve engineering excellence. You'll gain subject matter expertise in business intelligence, large language models, and our tech stack, and represent your area of responsibility to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As a Software Development Team Lead, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing part of the roadmap for a subsystem of our core product
- Mentoring a small group of 3-4 engineers to achieve engineering excellence
- Collaborating with product and business owners on requirements, training, testing, and release of new software
- Owning and driving commitments where possible by balancing the work between team members, negotiating scope changes, etc.
- Ensuring solutions exceed standards for quality, architectural integrity, performance, scalability, security, and availability for everyone on your team
- Exploring new technologies, frameworks, and tools that should be considered by the organization proactively
- Strategizing the right business move, ensuring that all projects get delivered relative to the business' goals
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience leading teams of 3+ software engineers in a professional setting
- Must meet all the requirements of a top-tier individual contributor software engineer with at least 3-5+ years of experience
- Experience working in LLM, GPT, or Prompt Engineering
- Experience recruiting and mentoring team members, reviewing pull requests, challenging requirements, and driving closure on timelines
- Experience with multiple tech stacks, databases, and processes; including proficiency within one or more areas including: Typescript and/or Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Python, and SQL
- Experience working with testing frameworks, Jenkins, and Git
