Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Management team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data security services. You will work closely with business partners, software development teams, and researcher partners to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data security services
- Develop and implement data models, ETL pipelines, and data visualization tools to support business intelligence and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that meet business requirements
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through data governance and compliance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics
Essential Capabilities
* Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL and at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience coaching colleagues on best practices and procedures
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations
Preferred Capabilities
* Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR
- Experience working with large data warehouses and data lakes
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
