Job Title: Specialist, Waiver Support Location: Remote must reside in TX Type: Full Time Our Client is seeking a detail‑oriented Waiver Support Specialist to provide operational support for member waiver coordination programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless communication, accurate tracking, and efficient coordination across care teams and state partners to support high‑quality, cost‑effective member care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support for waiver coordination activities.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external state program partners.
  • Process referrals for waiver services and coordinate scheduling of initial assessments.
  • Track and monitor member assessments, reassessments, and transition activities.
  • Collaborate with state agencies to verify eligibility and obtain necessary approvals for services.
  • Support transitions of members from facility‑based care back to community settings.
  • Initiate referrals for applicable programs, including Medicare and waiver services where required.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of referrals and case documentation using internal and state systems.
  • Monitor workflows across assessment, authorization, and transition processes and report updates accordingly.
  • Ensure eligibility requirements are met prior to initiating services.
  • Maintain strict compliance with confidentiality and data privacy regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative support role within a healthcare setting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Preferred

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Experience in long‑term care or managed care environments
