Administrative Officer 1 Join the Department of Banking and Securities as an Administrative Officer 1 and help consumers navigate important financial issues. This role gives you the chance to work with a team (in a call center) to collaborate and give guidance to consumers. Your work will strengthen trust in financial entities and support the agency mission. Bring your communication skills and make a difference every day. This position supports the Department of Banking and Securities by assisting consumers who contact the call center with financial questions and concerns. You will research issues, provide helpful information, and guide callers to appropriate resources. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Call Response: Answer inquiries from the public and provide clear information about banking and securities topics
  • Complaint Review: Analyze consumer complaints and research details to help identify next steps
  • Issue Response: Communicate with financial entities to assist with addressing consumer concerns
  • Record Management: Enter and maintain complaint and inquiry data in department systems
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about relevant state and federal financial laws and complete on the job training
  • Project Support: Assist with special studies and department projects at the direction of leadership

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, for eligible employees. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
