Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional phone support to hospitals and patients. Your primary responsibilities will include handling billing inquiries, assisting patients with their queries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional phone support: Handle calls from hospitals about billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assisting patients effectively: Clarify patient questions and ensure they receive the information they need.
  • Problem-solving champion: Work through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary.
  • Data entry specialist: Maintain accurate patient records by inputting information into the hospital's computer system.
  • Connects callers seamlessly: Route incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company.
  • Utilize Epic Software to manage patient records and resolve issues.
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, hospitals, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer service.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a call center, preferably in a medical claims and/or insurance environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Epic Software experience highly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus.
  • Ability to undergo a criminal background check, provide proof of ownership of a high school diploma, GED, or transcripts, and complete a drug screen testing (testing for THC).
  • High-speed internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speed; must be able to hard wire via Ethernet cable.
  • Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance, including a workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in a medical claims and/or insurance setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
