Why You'll Love This Role

As a member of the Data Innovation Group within the Data Innovation Division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. Your expertise in server load balancing, WAS grouping, and application scaling will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide in-depth knowledge of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS grouping, and other application scaling ideas

• Investigate and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Proactively monitor local and remote server farm activities and hardware, including UPSs, air conditioning, power, office security systems, and all datacenter cycles and processes
• Foster a culture of sharing and collaboration among the team
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to maintain area expertise and suggest improvements or changes
• Uphold communication and response processes by answering clients on system issues, support, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or significant issues
• Manage and maintain Windows Dynamic Registry, including DNS and Group Strategies
• Provide guidance to junior experts and assist when and where necessary
• Participate in rotational shifts for on-call support

What You'll Need for Success

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 3+ years of experience as an IT professional or manager
• Strong understanding of IT business activities, system requirements, and processes
• Proficiency in the following:

+ Server Organization - Linux (RHEL/CentOS 7/8 and Windows (2012/2016) + Framework as Code - Terraform, Python, Bash, and PowerShell + Cloud Innovations - Plan, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud) + DevOps - CI/CD, GitHub, Artifactory, or Jenkins + Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry + Server and Application Monitoring - Dynatrace, LogDNA, and SysDig

• Ability to investigate complex issues and implement solutions or workarounds
• Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a strong desire to learn and grow depth of knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and influence best practices
• Exhibited drive, adaptability, and ability to adjust to changing needs and work environments
• Capability in Coordinated project management technique, specifically within infrastructure region
