Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
  • Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed

To be a successful Ramp Agent, you'll need:

  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in English
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT)
  • Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with airport operations and procedures
  • Certification in a related field, such as safety or customer service
