Job Summary
We're searching for a highly energetic and solution-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Inquiry and Suggestions Examination group, you'll work closely with a high-performing team of designers, AI engineers/data scientists, and product managers who are at the forefront of the product recommendation space. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, running, and analyzing the results of A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms and techniques
- Developing new testing and test analysis systems
- KPI reporting and monitoring, including anomaly detection tools and advanced estimation approaches
- Exploratory data analysis (e.g., clustering/segmentation) to uncover new insights and inform our product recommendation guide
- Utilizing and developing our in-house automated tools, such as a QA tool to better understand the performance of our new algorithms before A/B testing them
Key Responsibilities
* Run unconditional exploratory data analysis to identify novel ideas and potential opportunities
- Plan and run A/B tests of our latest recommendation algorithms
- Proactively monitor our recommendation models to identify potential issues, determine underlying drivers, and resolve
- Develop new tools that enable us to be more efficient and productive
- Collaborate closely and build effective relationships with our product, design, and AI partners
- Communicate key findings and recommendations to cross-functional senior leaders across the organization
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
- Experience with SQL (full capabilities, query development, stored procedures, string parsing, Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flash, etc.)
- Experience with Python and Python tools (Jupyter notebook, libraries, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, etc.)
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis to drive business-driven decision-making (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with AI algorithms/methods (decision trees, random forests, deep learning, etc.) within a business setting (highly preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with partners
- Demonstrated history of taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities, along with critical thinking skills
