[Remote] IRB and Data Privacy Contractor

They are seeking a contractor to provide IRB and Data Privacy services, including reviewing and drafting Data Sharing Agreements and ensuring compliance with privacy policies.

Responsibilities

  • Review or draft (working from prior existing templates), Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs) to ensure compliance with all privacy policies and requirements
  • As required for the drafting of DSAs, review all relevant data privacy policies and practices including federal, state, local and district level policies
  • Offer hands-on support to projects and individuals related to Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliance, including but not limited to submissions, continuing reviews, reliance agreements, non-research determinations and other required materials
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to DP staff regarding FERPA and COPPA laws to ensure compliance in our agreements and practices
  • Collaborate with the Digital Promise team on security incidents as needed
  • Review and make recommendations to improve data privacy training for staff Skills
  • At least four years of related experience
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Experience with IRB practices and procedures
  • Experience reviewing and drafting Data Sharing Agreements
  • Expert knowledge of best practices for the sharing and management of nonpublic personal information, especially student (K-12) data
  • Strong expertise in FERPA, COPPA
  • A strong commitment to working toward Digital Promise's mission and impact goals
  • An interest in redesigning learning systems to better serve those who are historically and systemically excluded
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure information is shared, projects are completed on time, and goals are reached Company Overview
