Controller (Remote – Flexible Full-Time or Part-Time)

As a Controller at BooksTime, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and accounting lead for a portfolio of clients while collaborating with an international bookkeeping team to deliver exceptional financial support and service. Requirements
What You'll Do: As a Controller, you will: Lead accounting relationships for a portfolio of clients Build trusted advisor relationships with clients Review and analyze financial statements Serve as a high-level accounting resource for complex issues Support and mentor bookkeeping teams Collaborate with internal teams on special projects and process initiatives This role focuses on oversight, advisory work, problem-solving, and relationship management. We’re looking for someone who is: Comfortable leading client relationships independently Friendly, professional, and an excellent communicator Experienced in accounting for multiple small businesses or organizations Highly organized and self-motivated Adaptable and comfortable learning new technologies Comfortable working in a fully remote environment Ideal backgrounds may include: Controller/CFO Accounting Manager Client Advisory Services (CAS) Outsourced Accounting Public accounting or bookkeeping firm experience Experience with cloud-based accounting systems is required. We work with clients using a wide variety of tools and platforms, so adaptability is important.
