Senior Manager, Paid Media

Worldwide Salaried Open

ABOUT SINGLE GRAIN Single Grain is a Revenue Marketing agency. We build pipeline-focused systems that compound — not campaigns that expire. We've helped 500+ companies, from venture-backed startups to the Fortune 500, drive measurable growth, influencing billions in revenue with a 3.2x average ROI. Our portfolio includes: Single Grain Agency — enterprise digital marketing services across SEO, paid media, creative, CRO, and AI-driven growth strategy. ClickFlow — our AI-powered content optimization platform that helps companies unlock hidden growth from their existing content by identifying high-impact SEO opportunities and improving rankings with AI insights. Karrot — a LinkedIn advertising and landing page platform built specifically for B2B companies running demand generation programs. Single Brain — the complete client operating layer: one agent interface for the human, one agent fleet commander for execution, an agent fleet of worker operators, and vertical specialists that handle the actual work. We are evolving into a tech-enabled services (TES) company, where software, automation, and services combine to create leverage. Our CEO Eric Siu hosts the Leveling Up podcast and co-hosts Marketing School with Neil Patel, reaching millions of marketers and founders every month — a brand ecosystem most agencies don't have. We are fully remote, and we operate as an AI-native team: every role at Single Grain is expected to use AI to increase speed, quality, and leverage. ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Paid Media Manager is the strategic owner of a paid media book of business — roughly $720K in annual managed revenue across multiple client accounts. You exist to deliver 20%+ growth, maintain 100% retention, and lead proactive strategy that ties paid performance to real business outcomes — pipeline, revenue, and CAC, not just clicks and CPMs. Your job is to lead client strategy and grow the book while using AI to free yourself from execution. This is not a media buying role. This is a senior individual-contributor role. You own client relationships end-to-end and your AI workflows save you 5+ hours per week — but you don't manage a team or build systems for the broader org. That's the Associate Director's scope. You may mentor analysts; you do not have direct reports. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and grow a book of paid media accounts; deliver 20%+ growth through upsells, budget expansion, and new-channel launches.
  • Maintain 95% client retention across owned accounts, with Net Revenue Retention ≥120%.
  • Deliver 2+ proactive strategic recommendations per client per month.
  • Flag risks early and eliminate reactive client communication — clients should never surface a problem you didn't see first.
  • Build AI workflows that save you 5+ hours per week — automating reporting, QA, and performance analysis, and reinvesting that time into strategy.
  • Launch new channels (LinkedIn, programmatic, CTV) within your accounts; document what works so it's repeatable.
  • Tie paid performance to real business outcomes — pipeline, revenue, CAC, payback — and communicate that story to senior client stakeholders.

OUTCOMES YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Primary KPI

  • Net Revenue Retention ≥120% across owned accounts
  • 100% client retention
  • Zero major issues escalated by clients
  • ≤1 client-reported error per account per quarter

12–18 Month Expectations

  • Grow managed revenue from ~$60K/month to $72K/month+
  • Maintain 100% retention with NRR
  • Consistent, proactive strategy delivery — no reactive surprises
  • AI workflows saving 5+ hours per week, reinvested in client strategy
  • New channels launched and documented across owned accounts
  • Repeatable, performance-driven systems built for your book

YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF

  • You have 6+ years in paid media with deep, hands-on expertise across Google Ads, LinkedIn Meta (agency, in-house, or consulting equivalent — we count the work, not the title).
  • You have 2+ years owning client relationships end-to-end — strategy, communication, and growth, not just media buying.
  • You connect paid performance to pipeline and revenue, not just impressions and CPMs — and can point to specific examples where you've made that case to a client.
  • You build trust with clients and handle live, high-stakes conversations with confidence.
  • You anticipate problems early and surface them before clients do.
  • You actively use AI to build workflows (not just prompts), and you can point to specific workflows you've shipped — what they automate, how often they run, what they've saved.
  • You have working fluency across Google Ads, Meta, and at least one emerging channel (LinkedIn, programmatic, CTV).
  • You communicate clearly and directly — translating performance data into business language for non-marketing stakeholders (CMOs, founders, finance).

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT This role is likely not a fit if your experience is primarily:

  • Media buying or campaign execution — AI handles the execution; you own strategy and growth.
  • People management — you may mentor analysts, but you don't manage a team. (If you want a team-leadership track, look at the AD role.)
  • Reactive account management — we need someone who flags risks early and stays ahead of clients.
  • Basic AI use (single prompts) — we need someone who builds and ships AI workflows.
  • Performance reporting without strategic recommendations — the recommendations are the job, not the dashboards.

If you read this list and recognize yourself in the opposite of each line, you'll likely thrive here. COMPENSATION Compensation for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. BENEFITS

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance after your first month of employment
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4% of your salary
  • $50K life insurance policy, paid 100% by the company
  • 12 weeks of paid family leave, effective after the first year of employment
  • Flexible Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • $100 utilities stipend, paid out as an extra $50 per paycheck
  • $60 UberEats credit each month
  • A MacBook, keyboard, and mouse
  • $500 WFH office reimbursement
  • Fully remote — work from anywhere
