1. The project objectives and the specific purpose of services The purpose of this consultancy is to curate, prepare, co-facilitate, and synthesize a five-part virtual learning series for the Digital Integration of Agricultural Supply Chains Alliance (DIASCA), focused on strengthening supply chain integrity and interoperability in agrifood systems. Building upon existing DIASCA knowledge products and technical work, the consultant will support the design and delivery of a practical learning process that translates lessons learned, approaches, and recommendations into actionable insights for partners, implementers, policymakers, donors, and private-sector actors. The consultancy will also produce a concise working paper that captures key learnings, practical examples, and an agenda for action to strengthen supply chain integrity, interoperability, data governance, and digital approaches within agrifood supply chains. 2. The key contact people for the Consultant, and the frequency and mode of interaction with the person supervising the consultancy assignment Hiring Manager: Brian King, Senior Manager of Technology Integration. Bi-weekly virtual coordination meetings. Email communication as required for review and feedback. Review sessions prior to the submission of each deliverable. 3. The deliverables - Deliverable 1: Inception Note and Refined Workplan Format: Written report (Word/PDF) and presentation deck. Contents: Brief note confirming the learning series approach, overarching theme, suggested session topics, timeline, roles, and expected outputs. - Deliverable 2: Two Virtual Learning Sessions Format: Virtual webinars/workshops and supporting materials. Contents: Preparation and co-facilitation of two virtual webinars or workshops of 90 to 120 minutes each, organized around the overarching theme of supply chain integrity and interoperability. - Deliverable 3: Three Virtual Learning Sessions Format: Virtual webinars/workshops and supporting materials. Contents: Preparation and co-facilitation of three virtual webinars or workshops of 90 to 120 minutes each, organized around the overarching theme of supply chain integrity and interoperability. - Deliverable 4: Summary Working Paper Format: Written working paper (Word and PDF). Contents: A concise working paper drawing on the learnings from the working sessions, capturing DIASCA approaches, lessons learned, practical examples, and an agenda for action on supply chain integrity and interoperability. 4. The calendar of activities Six (6) months from contract signature. Month 1 - Inception note and refined workplan approved Months 2 – 3 - First two virtual learning sessions prepared and co-facilitated Months 4 – 5 - Remaining three virtual learning sessions prepared and co-facilitated Month 6 - Summary working paper submitted and approved 5. Duty Station Home-based / Remote consultancy. Requirements 6. The required expertise, qualifications, and expected experience to produce the expected output or deliverables Advanced university degree (PhD and/or Master) in International Development, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Communications, Knowledge Management, Information Systems, Agribusiness, or related fields. Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating virtual learning processes, webinars, workshops, communities of practice, or multi-stakeholder dialogues. Strong ability to synthesize technical, governance, and policy-oriented content into practical learning products and knowledge outputs. Familiarity with agrifood systems, digital transformation, traceability, supply chain integrity, interoperability, digital public infrastructure, sustainability, or data governance. Experience producing working papers, guidance notes, learning products, or knowledge-management outputs for international development, donor-funded, or multi-stakeholder initiatives. Excellent writing, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills in English. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with international and multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of Latin American agrifood systems. Spanish language proficiency. Experience engaging public and private sector stakeholders in digital agriculture and supply chain initiatives. Benefits 7. The total estimated budget for the consultancy Total Estimated Budget: USD 7,500 inclusive of professional fees and all consultancy-related costs. 8.
