Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - VIRTUAL - US Tennessee Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Regional Senior Health & Safety Manager Time Type: Full Time The Regional Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs throughout our contract logistics operations in North America, South America, and Canada. This role requires a proactive and strategic leader who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture, minimize risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. Successful candidate must be a forward thinking individual that has a strong background in logistical processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement regional health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs in alignment with corporate standards and local regulations. Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and standards across North America, South America, and Canada. Collaborate with operations management, human resources, and other departments to integrate health and safety best practices into daily operations. Provide expert guidance and support to regional teams on all health and safety matters, including risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and occupational health. Monitor and analyze health and safety performance data, identify trends, and develop strategies for continuous improvement. Manage and mentor a team of health and safety professionals within the region. Prepare and present regular reports on health and safety performance to the client and to senior leadership. Stay informed of new health and safety legislation, industry best practices, and emerging risks. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in health and safety management within a logistics, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment. Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in North America (OSHA, EPA), South America (local equivalents), and Canada (Provincial regulations). Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs that drive tangible improvements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to travel frequently across North America, South America, and Canada. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent are highly desirable. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office & G Suite a plus Certificates & Licenses: Must have a minimum B.S or equivalent hands on experience For this position, the expected base pay range is $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
