Regional Accounts Payable Specialist – LATAM (Temporary Position)

Location: Central or South America (LATAM) | Duration: 9 months English (Spanish Version below) We are looking for a Regional Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Americas Finance team on a temporary basis for 9 months, covering a maternity leave replacement. This role is based in Central or South America (LATAM) and supports financial operations across North, Central, and South America, working closely with a regional finance team in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts payable activities for operations in the United States, Canada, Chile, and Mexico.
  • Process and book vendor invoices according to company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Manage and reconcile vendor accounts, including proforma invoices and outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and execute payments including wire transfers, ACH, checks, and electronic payments.
  • Prepare and submit tax-related reports and documentation in compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure accounting records and financial transactions are maintained in accordance with company guidelines and tax regulations.
  • Support monthly closing activities and reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain and update supplier master data within the ERP system.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting financial documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration student or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts payable functions.
  • Experience working in multinational or global companies is preferred.
  • Experience working with inventory accounting is an advantage.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; Priority ERP experience is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.

  • Realizar actividades contables diarias relacionadas con cuentas por cobrar y cuentas por pagar
  • Procesar y registrar facturas de proveedores de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa
  • Gestionar y conciliar cuentas de proveedores, incluyendo saldos abiertos y facturas proforma
  • Preparar y ejecutar pagos (transferencias bancarias, ACH, cheques y pagos electrónicos)
  • Apoyar reportes fiscales y documentación de cumplimiento según regulaciones locales
  • Apoyar los cierres mensuales y procesos de conciliación contable
  • Mantener datos maestros de proveedores en el sistema ERP
  • Apoyar auditorías y proporcionar documentación financiera requerida

Requisitos

  • Título en Contabilidad, Finanzas, Administración de Empresas o campo relacionado (o estudios relevantes)
  • Mínimo 3 años de experiencia en contabilidad, cuentas por cobrar y/o cuentas por pagar
  • Experiencia en empresas multinacionales o regionales, deseable
  • Experiencia con sistemas ERP (Priority ERP es una ventaja)
  • Fuertes habilidades en Excel y sistemas financieros
  • Inglés y español fluido (oral y escrito) obligatorio
