Engineer I- Water/Wastewater (Reading, MA)
Weston & Sampson is an employee-owned environmental and infrastructure consulting firm, and they are seeking an Engineer with a focus on water-related projects. The role involves assisting project managers with engineering studies, design plans, and various civil engineering tasks primarily related to water infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers with the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications
- Visit job sites to perform project tasks including, field tests, data gathering, field inspections, surveying and construction observation
- Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports
- Expected to work on a variety of civil engineering projects at any given time as workload requires, but an emphasis will be placed primarily on water related projects
- Willing to travel as required
Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with wastewater process and treatment emphasis
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft excel for data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertaken
- Valid driver's license required
- EIT Certification is a plus
- Construction experience is a plus
- Engineering Consulting industry is a plus
