The Financial Analyst, Investments will support the underwriting and execution of healthcare real estate transactions, working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to support acquisitions, joint ventures, developments, redevelopments, and debt investments
  • Lead valuation analyses and sensitization of key transaction assumptions and risk drivers
  • Assist in designing and structuring asset, portfolio, and entity-level transactions of varying complexity that achieve investment criteria and satisfy counterparty need
  • Conduct detailed due diligence, including operator/tenant financial assessments, market analyses, and site visits
  • Synthesize findings and present underwriting conclusions to senior leadership
  • Partner with brokers, sellers, and investment bankers to refine assumptions and validate transaction data
  • Support Corporate Finance to ensure accurate integration of transaction economics into Ventas’s financial projections
  • Prepare materials for executive approval, investment committee review, and closing processes
  • Collaborate with Asset Management to support a smooth integration of acquired assets post‑closing

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related analytical field
  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or related analytical disciplines
  • Must be located in the Chicago, IL or New York, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • High sense of urgency, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience with Argus, SQL, or financial modeling tools is a plus
