Fund Accountant
U.S. Bank is on a journey to help customers and businesses make smarter financial decisions. They are seeking a Fund Accountant to support their Fund Accounting team, responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the general ledger and records of mutual funds, exchange-traded fund, local government investment pools and closed-end funds of varying complexity
- Producing end of day net asset value calculation
- Preparing daily general ledger accounting
- Preparing prime broker/bank cash reconciliations
- Processing advisor/portfolio management
- Applying corporate action application
- Posting expense accrual/payment
- Determining daily net asset value and mill rate
- Conducting portfolio pricing analysis/validations
- Distributing timely internal/external information
- Performing portfolio reconciliations
- Partnering with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships
- Collaborating on compliance, audit and financials
- Ensuring all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- One to two years of experience in accounting or finance activities
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
