Enforcement Analyst

California Correctional Health Care Services is dedicated to protecting and serving California consumers. The Enforcement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and investigating program activities, managing disciplinary actions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for less complex analysis and investigation of program activities
  • Managing disciplinary action cases
  • Monitoring probation and compliance programs
  • Consultation with the Office of the Attorney General
  • Receives and evaluates complaints
  • Provides analysis
  • Interprets laws, rules, and regulations which govern the practice of acupuncture
  • Performs desk investigations and develops recommendation for formal investigations
  • Acts as a liaison with the Division of Investigation and other governmental agencies
  • Responds to less complex written and telephone requests for information on scope of practice and ethical questions related to the Acupuncture License Act
  • Ensures the Board's Disciplinary guidelines and the provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act are adhered to in disciplinary trends
  • Makes recommendations to Board and executive staff
  • Evaluates, tracks and monitors Cite & Fine cases
  • Tracks and monitors all cost recovery to ensure compliance with Disciplinary Order and payments

Skills

  • Criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
  • Submission of fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring
  • Maintenance of privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times
  • Travel throughout an assigned geographical area by various methods of transportation
  • Submission of a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office
  • Completion of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
  • Submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with the application
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, written, and oral communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Good judgment in decision-making
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under fast pace, changing priorities and conditions
  • Proficiency with various software programs including the DCA databases, Adobe, and Microsoft Suites
  • Ability to maintain consistent and regular attendance
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) in dealing with the public and/or other employees
  • Ability to develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific task, methodologies, materials, tools and equipment
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave and conduct
  • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with others as a member of the team
  • Flexibility under changing priorities or deadlines
