Archinect is seeking an Architectural Designer at the junior to intermediate level to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. The role will focus on supporting the design development, documentation, coordination, and construction of a new, ground-up single-family residential project.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design development, documentation, coordination and construction of a new, ground-up single family residential project
  • Possesses a strong design sensibility
  • A deep interest in material craftsmanship
  • Baseline technical understanding of building assemblies
  • Motivated, curious and proactive with strong design skills
  • Organized, collaborative, and a reliable team player and willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to maintain and develop precise 3D digital models and 2D drawing sets
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual communication skills
  • Consultant coordination
  • Experience with construction documents
  • High craft and physical model making abilities and hand sketching abilities
  • Keen interest in working with creative private residential projects

Skills

  • Minimum education: B.Arch
  • 1-5 years of post graduate work experience
  • Motivated, curious and proactive with strong design skills
  • Organized, collaborative, and a reliable team player and willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to maintain and develop precise 3D digital models and 2D drawing sets
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual communication skills
