[Remote] Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Active Secret Clearance)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lumicity is a fast-growing AI/ML software company serving national security and defense clients. They are seeking a Senior or Staff Machine Learning Engineer to contribute to customer-facing projects and internal product development by building and deploying machine learning models.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy ML models across image, video, text, geospatial, time series, and structured data
- Design and automate complex data engineering and analytics pipelines
- Collaborate with customers and engineers to define clear technical requirements
- Contribute to core platform product functionality
- Up to 25% travel, including potential field work
Skills
- BS in Computer Science, ML, or related field + 6+ years of relevant experience
- Strong Python and ML library proficiency (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Solid software engineering fundamentals and at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C++, etc.)
- Active Secret clearance (or above)
- US Citizenship required
- Computer vision experience: object detection, multi-object tracking, or overhead/satellite imagery analysis
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure
- Background delivering solutions in secure government environments
- Experience building agentic AI systems
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
