Position Overview – Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern

This 12‑week, full‑time internship (May 21 – August 9 2024) offers a unique blend of remote and on‑site work at arenaflex’s corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Interns will dive deep into data collection, validation, and analysis to support the Quality Control Standards group, helping to identify patterns, drive process improvements, and uphold arenaflex’s commitment to low‑cost, high‑quality service. The role is designed for candidates who are detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to translate raw data into actionable insights that influence senior leadership decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Validation: Gather, clean, and verify large data sets from multiple internal sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness for downstream analysis.
  • Statistical Analysis & Reporting: Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to uncover trends, anomalies, and root‑cause factors that affect operational performance.
  • Insight Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise visualizations and presentations for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Process Auditing: Conduct audits of existing quality control processes, identify gaps, and recommend data‑driven enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Collaboration: Partner with senior analysts, engineers, and cross‑functional teams to support ongoing projects, respond to ad‑hoc queries, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in‑progress) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to work with large data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
