IT Operations Specialist (m/f/d) - Junior/Mid

Worldwide Salaried Open

About us: Saltz is an online food marketplace serving restaurants across multiple European markets. We help chefs and restaurants discover and source products from trusted local and international suppliers. At Saltz, we believe the best ingredients should be accessible through one seamless marketplace experience. Restaurants purchase directly from Saltz and are fully supported across sales, logistics, customer support, account management, and claims handling. Through our catalogue and platform, we provide visibility into sourcing origins and product information, helping chefs make informed purchasing decisions and discover trusted suppliers worldwide. We recently closed a €20M Series A backed by leading European venture funds. Our vision is to build the modern infrastructure layer for foodservice commerce - building the new standard for how the world sources food. About the role You own the full lifecycle of our equipment and tooling as we grow - making sure people have exactly what they need to do their best work, that IT operations never stall over a broken device, and that every device and license stays tracked and under control. This is a role with real ownership from day one. You'll be the person behind the systems, vendor relationships, and policies that keep our IT operations running as we scale, and as Saltz grows, the role grows with you. What you will be doing Own our hardware end to end, from leased laptops, where you manage the lifecycle and the relationship with our leasing partner, to the accessories and buffer stock that keep everyone equipped, so nothing slips through the cracks. Keep the warehouse running. Be the first responder when a scanner or logistics device goes down, manage the fleet through our MDM (Hexnode), and hold a spares buffer on site so a single failure never stalls operations. Be the person people come to when something breaks. Wi-Fi, a dead mic, a locked account, an MFA reset. You're the calm, fast fix. Make onboarding effortless and offboarding airtight - every new joiner fully set up before day one, and every device, account, and accessory tracked and accounted for at every stage. Own tools and licenses. Keep the master list of who pays for what, and flag renewals before they auto-charge. Write the playbook. Build the equipment, accessories, and offboarding policies (with Finance, People, and Legal) that make all of this repeatable as we scale. You'll work closely with People, Finance, and Legal, and own the leasing-partner relationship directly. What you need 1-3 years of a hands-on experience providing IT support to end users (laptops, accounts, Wi-Fi, the everyday "it won't work" problems) Genuinely organized and process-minded - you like turning chaos into a clean inventory and a documented policy. Comfortable owning vendor and stakeholder communication (you'll talk to a leasing partner, finance, and colleagues daily). Clear written communication - a lot of this role is good documentation people can actually follow. Professional English (C1 or higher) Nice-to-haves Experience with an MDM platform Experience supporting warehouse or logistics hardware Exposure to device leasing or hardware vendor coordination. You've worked at a fast-growing company and seen processes built from scratch. What we offer Flexibility to organise your work and hours the way you like — our remote-first setup makes that real for everyone. A spot at an innovative, VC-backed company with big ambitions and the pace to match. Real freedom to own decisions and run experiments. We want people who help us figure out what to do, not people waiting to be told. No approval loops or unnecessary process: quick decisions, full ownership of your function, and high trust by default. Sharp, entrepreneurial, genuinely fun colleagues who are great at what they do and love building. The hardware to do your best work from day one We're a startup, so we're honest about where we are: we've brought on an HR Operations Manager to build our meaningful benefits package Salary: PLN 8,500 - 12,000 gross Saltz Marketplace, UAB is an equal opportunity employer. We respect and empower each individual who joins us. Saltz Marketplace, UAB commits to a transparent, inclusive, non-discriminatory recruitment process and employment. Apply To This Job
