Our client, a leading producer of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), is looking for a diligent Production Planner to join their team in

Cincinnati, Ohio

. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely production of goods by aligning production schedules with demand forecasts, material availability, and plant capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing production plans to meet customer orders while minimizing costs and waste. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed weekly and daily production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels. Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure alignment and effective communication. Monitor production progress and proactively address any deviations from the schedule, implementing corrective actions as needed. Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints, recommending solutions. Manage raw material and component requirements, coordinating with the procurement department. Optimize production runs to maximize efficiency, minimize changeovers, and reduce costs. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning and execution, such as on-time production and schedule adherence. Prepare reports on production plans, schedules, and performance for management. Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings. Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination, preferably within the FMCG or CPG industry. Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Experience working in the
