Role Overview

We are seeking a Remote Part‑Time Chat Moderator to join the arenaxflex community management team. Key Responsibilities

Community Safety & Enforcement

• Monitor live chat channels, voice rooms, and text threads to identify messages that violate arenaflex’s community guidelines.
• Delete offending messages promptly while preserving the integrity of conversation flow.
• Issue temporary mutes to users who breach rules, providing clear explanations and guidance for corrective action.
• Implement permanent bans for repeat offenders, documenting each case in the moderation log for future reference.
• Investigate user‑submitted reports, conduct thorough reviews, and determine appropriate disciplinary measures.
• Collaborate with arenaflex’s Trust & Safety team to refine moderation policies based on emerging trends and feedback.

Community Engagement & Support

• Respond to user inquiries about moderation decisions in a courteous, transparent manner.
• Provide educational resources that help members understand the server’s rules and the rationale behind them.
• Assist in onboarding new members by guiding them through community expectations and best practices.
• Participate in periodic community events, offering real‑time assistance and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of moderation actions, including timestamps, user IDs, and reasons for each action.
• Generate weekly summary reports that highlight trends, recurring issues, and suggestions for policy updates.
• Escalate serious incidents to senior staff promptly, ensuring swift resolution and compliance with legal standards.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience (paid or volunteer) in online moderation, community management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Discord’s interface, moderation tools, and community settings.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey decisions clearly and empathetically.
