Loan/Grant Facilitator

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Loan/Grant Facilitator who will be part of the Civil Engineering Section providing design services for municipal infrastructure projects. The role involves securing and administering the State Revolving Loan program and supporting the identification and application for relevant grants.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and completion of loans/grants and IEPA State Revolving Loans
  • Technical writing working with Engineers on the technical aspect of the application
  • Client interaction to secure necessary information and approvals
  • Compiling of technical and administrative documents for the application
  • Working with Agencies and internal staff to submit timely, complete and competitive applications
  • Assist in the monitoring of loan and grant status timelines
  • Close out of loans/grants
  • Documentation of the application process and lessons learned to be used for future grant opportunities to share with the team
  • Screening projects to match needs with funding opportunities

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related fields
  • Excellent communication skills with external clients and internal departments required
  • Must be an independent worker with excellent organizational skills
  • Applicable experience related to administration of government funded grants and/or loans is preferred but not required
  • Experience with the process for IEPA State Revolving Loan Program preferred
  • Experience presenting grant applications in front of municipal boards and councils preferred
