[Remote] Senior Product Manager - Filings and Payments

They are seeking a Senior Product Manager for Payments and Filing to lead the strategy and execution of customer experiences, focusing on optimizing product adoption, conversion rates, and overall customer satisfaction during the tax return process.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and business performance of TaxAct's payment and filing experiences, ensuring customers successfully complete their tax returns from checkout through IRS submission
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver initiatives that drive adoption of product upgrades and ancillary offerings, increase filing conversion, improve payment authorization and completion rates, and grow revenue
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for payment and filing experiences, leveraging data-driven insights to measure success, identify opportunities, and inform product investments
  • Drive continuous improvements across the end-to-end filing and payment journey, reducing customer friction, increasing completion rates, and enhancing the overall customer experience
  • Lead product discovery efforts through customer research, behavioral analytics, market trends, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
  • Partner with third-party vendors and strategic partners to evaluate, integrate, launch, and optimize payment solutions, ancillary products, and other customer-facing offerings
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments, including A/B tests and personalization strategies, to optimize customer engagement, conversion, and product adoption
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, analytics, marketing, operations, legal, and compliance teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality, end-to-end product solutions
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, roadmap progress, and business outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and executive teams
  • Monitor and respond to trends in taxation, payments, financial services, and digital commerce, translating industry changes into customer and business value

Skills

  • 5–7+ years of product management experience in software, fintech, tax, financial services, or other highly regulated industries, with a demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business and customer outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data, customer insights, and market research to inform product strategy and prioritization
  • Experience defining product strategy, building roadmaps, and leading cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products, tools, and capabilities, with experience identifying opportunities to apply AI, automation, or predictive technologies to improve customer experiences, business outcomes, or operational efficiency
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, design, analytics, marketing, operations, legal, and compliance teams
  • Experience designing and evaluating experiments, including A/B testing, personalization, and conversion optimization initiatives
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and execution-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences
  • Passion for innovation in tax, financial services, payments, and emerging technologies
