[Remote] Staff Software Engineer (Python, AWS)

The role involves contributing as a senior full-stack engineer, mentoring peers, and driving continuous delivery in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute as a senior full-stack engineer across Python, AWS, and React.js in a fast-moving SaaS environment
- Partner closely with Product Management and a strong PMO to shape technical solutions and deliver iterative, high-quality releases
- Help distribute architectural ownership across the team, reducing bottlenecks and preparing the platform for scalability
- Mentor and challenge engineers, fostering a culture where curiosity, ownership, and growth are the norm
- Champion AI tool adoption to improve productivity and development workflows across the team
- Dig into unfamiliar code and lead by example
Skills
- SaaS product background with hands-on continuous delivery experience at the feature level
- Proficiency in Python, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB), and React.js
- Active, demonstrable use of AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) in day-to-day engineering work
- Ability to challenge peers, navigate complex technical decisions, and articulate lessons learned from failure
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and design in a fast-moving environment
