The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques to extract insights from complex datasets and enable informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that drive business insights
  • Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions
  • Apply advanced statistical and analytical methods to solve business problems
  • Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate findings clearly
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical approaches
  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows in cloud-based environments
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and adherence to governance standards
  • Document methodologies, analyses, and recommendations for transparency and reproducibility

Skills

  • BS + 7 years
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, machine learning, and model development
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to communicate findings effectively
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and analytics environments
  • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data engineering concepts
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and best practices for data management
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and technical outputs
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience documenting methodologies, models, and analytical findings for reproducibility and auditability
  • Expert proficiency in Python and advanced analytic techniques
  • Demonstrated experience working with large-scale datasets
  • Proven ability to build and implement machine learning models
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Active Secret clearance
