Overview

Gap Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager / Director of Data & Analytics (Sourcing & Supply Chain) to provide strategic leadership for sourcing (primary) and supply chain (secondary) data initiatives. This role will serve as the senior data partner to business leaders, translating complex sourcing requirements into prioritized, scalable data solutions delivered through a global technical team. This is a strategic leadership role , not a hands-on data science or engineering position. The ideal candidate brings deep domain understanding, strong stakeholder leadership, and the ability to operate data science and analytics capabilities as a product.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the strategic data leader for sourcing analytics and related supply chain initiatives. Partner with senior business stakeholders across sourcing, manufacturing, and raw materials to understand priorities and outcomes. Translate business needs into clear, actionable data requirements and delivery plans. Lead prioritization and execution of work delivered by offshore analytics and engineering teams. Coordinate models, data assets, tooling, and partner deliverables into cohesive solutions. Build strong operating rhythms to ensure accountability, delivery, and alignment. Treat analytics and data science capabilities as products, driving roadmap planning and stakeholder adoption. Collaborate closely with product, data science, and data enablement teams. Ensure data initiatives support predictive insights and decision-making for sourcing and manufacturing functions.

Required Qualifications

Senior Manager or Director-level experience in data, analytics, or data product leadership. Demonstrated experience working with: Sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, or raw materials domains Strong background in stakeholder management at the senior leadership level. Experience leading distributed and/or offshore technical teams. Proven ability to operate strategically without hands-on execution responsibilities. Strong understanding of how analytics and data science drive business value.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in apparel retail (highly preferred). Experience within broader retail, CPG, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with predictive modeling use cases in sourcing or supply planning. Experience partnering with product and data science organizations. Prior contract-to-FTE transition experience within large enterprises.
