- Current teaching certification in either general education or ESL (or both)
- Experience teaching ESL or English Language Learners in a K-12 setting
- Strong understanding of second language acquisition and culturally responsive teaching
- Ability to design engaging lessons for learners with varying English proficiency
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver ESL instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Support language development across reading, writing, listening, and speaking
- Modify and adapt general education classroom materials for English learners
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to integrate language objectives into content lessons
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of growth and achievement
- Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and support staff regarding student development
