About the Role

The Data Collection Nurse position at arenaflex involves the retrieval, review, and abstraction of medical record data for specific quality measures, such as STARS and HEDIS. This role requires collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring seamless communication and efficient data entry into quality program tools. As a hybrid role, you will be required to travel locally within the Chattanooga area, visiting physician offices or working from our office.

Responsibilities

As a Data Collection Nurse at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Retrieving, reviewing, and abstracting medical record data for STARS and HEDIS measures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Entering data into quality program tools, utilizing your knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Performing on-site medical record reviews at physician offices or in our office, maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to arenaflex's standards.
• Collaborating with clinical and non-clinical staff regarding provider scheduling and on-site medical record retrieval, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
• Utilizing time and resources efficiently while performing duties, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• An active RN or LPN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact state.
• Knowledge and experience of HEDIS data abstraction methods are highly preferred, but experience in medical record review or data abstraction is also acceptable.
• A current valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for local travel within the Chattanooga area.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional telephone and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Proven working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, experience with electronic data transfer and the use of removable media devices would be beneficial in this role.
